Giuseppe Ragusa (also known as Pino Ragusa), Mauritian artist of Sicilian origin. Since his first solo exhibition at the gallery Max Boullé in 2002, his paintings were admired at many galleries across the island and abroad, including Alliance Française, Blue Penny Museum, Caudan Gallery, etc.
In his paintings he invites the public to discover the little-known corners of Mauritius, which he have witnessed and put on canvas in his original painting technique."I use my time to appreciate nature and its colours. And I must say that it is a very rewarding experience to paint in contact with nature. We can go to the smallest detail to restore the atmosphere”, he observes.
