No. DodoMarket is a florist and gift shop based in Mauritius, not a freight forwarder, a courier or a parcel-forwarding address. We do not accept, store, consolidate or re-ship packages bought from US retailers, and we have no US warehouse. What we do is the other way round: you choose a gift from our own Mauritian catalogue, and we make it and hand-deliver it on the island. If you need a package forwarded from the United States, you need a shipping company, not us.

Same day, if your order is in before 11:30am Mauritius time - which is 3:30am Eastern from mid-March to early November, 2:30am the rest of the year, and about 12:30am Pacific. In practice that means ordering the evening before, US time. There is no international shipping involved, because we are already on the island. Order after the cut-off and it goes the next Mauritian day, or on the exact date you choose at checkout. Handmade cakes need about 48 hours.

No - nothing, ever. A parcel mailed from the USA almost always gets taxed: Mauritius charges import duty on parcels from abroad, and the value of the gift plus the shipping is usually enough to trigger it. Because we buy, make and deliver everything inside Mauritius, there is no parcel, no customs entry and no fee for your recipient to pay at the door.

Your card is charged in Mauritian rupees (MUR). You pay with your normal US Visa, Mastercard or Amex, and your bank converts at its own rate exactly as it would on vacation - there is no currency selector on this site because we are a Mauritian shop quoting Mauritian prices. To help you budget, Rs 1,000 is roughly $21 at early-September 2026 rates. DodoMarket does not add a separate currency-conversion fee; your card issuer's exchange rate and fees may apply.

Mauritius is UTC+4 all year and does not change its clocks, so it runs 8 hours ahead of New York in summer and 9 hours ahead in winter, and 11 to 12 hours ahead of Los Angeles. Our same-day cut-off, 11:30am on the island, therefore lands at 3:30am Eastern in summer (2:30am in winter) and around 12:30am Pacific - the middle of your night. So the rule for the US is simple: order the evening before, and your gift goes out that same Mauritian day. For birthdays and festivals, order a day or two early - Divali, Christmas and Valentine's Day are the weeks that sell out.

We hand-deliver anywhere in Mauritius - Port Louis, Curepipe, Quatre Bornes, Grand Baie, Flic-en-Flac, Mahébourg and every village between - and flowers and gifts go out every day of the week, weekends included. Add the recipient's local mobile number so our driver can call or WhatsApp if a gate or a building needs opening.

We tell you, and we show you. Once the gift is handed over, our team confirms the delivery and sends you a photo of it - so you are not left refreshing a tracking page 10,000 miles away wondering whether "delivered" meant delivered.

We make what you see, in our own workshop in Mauritius, so we are not relaying your order to a stranger's shop and hoping.
