Vacoas orders differently from its neighbours: cakes run almost level with the gift boxes here, so a lot of what leaves our workshop for Bonne Terre, La Caverne, Solférino or St Paul is a birthday cake with a bouquet beside it. Handmade cakes need about 48 hours; flowers and gift boxes go the same day when the order is in before 11:30am. There is no relay florist involved: one workshop in Mauritius, our own drivers, and the arrangement you saw online is the one that arrives. Four in ten Vacoas deliveries are paid for from overseas, so we photograph each one and email the picture to whoever sent it.
